Online ecommerce has been a great focus on Malaysia’s economy and therefore the Penang Wanita UMNO stressed that women should enroll fast into the initiative.

The head of Penang Wanita UMNO, c said that online business has the potential to increase women’s standard of living if the business is nicely managed with smart strategy.
The program: Penghakupayaan Usahawan Wanita Merentasi Media Baharu di Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) was attended by 200 entrepreneurs from all over the country. Every participants including members of the Pergerakan Wanita UMNO and IPTA students that owns an online business were given a free “Telefonita Package” sponsored by Celcom Axiata Berhad (Celcom).

Few speakers were invited to give some tips regarding the online business and one of them was Miss Carol Fung. Carol is a certified eBay trainer who has taught hundreds of people how to do online retailing through workshops and seminars organized by the likes of Malaysia Digital Enterprise Exchange (MDEX) and Gorgeous Geeks (an organization that promotes the use of IT among female entrepreneurs).
