Kuala Lumpur, 06 August 2014 – Exabytes Network (‘Exabytes’), Malaysia’s largest Web hosting provider, today launches the country’s first integrated logistics service platform, EasyParcel, that powers the delivery of traditional shipping services with ease and ubiquity of e-commerce mechanism.

Exabytes CEO and founder, Chan Kee Siak shares that EasyParcel essentially combines the service availability of up to five established logistics and shipping services providers such as Poslaju, Skynet, Airpax, Nationwide and DHL into a single integrated e-commerce platform.

“Exabytes is a strong propagator of e-commerce amongst the thousands of local SMEs, and we realise logistics efficiency is becoming the key differentiator for ‘e-retailers’ to succeed. Online retail businesses can easily damage their hard-earned reputation with late or wrong deliveries due to inefficient logistics and return processes,” says Chan.

He adds that recent survey on Exabytes’ e-commerce marketplace Easy.my, shows that at least eighty percent (80%)online shoppers in the South East Asia region said that shipping and delivery mode is a key deciding factor that influences their online purchases.

“The launch of EasyParcel by Exabytes as a strategic initiative – addresses this challenge by bringing together all the major logistics providers into a single, very easy to use and track e-commerce platform in order to facilitate fast and competitive shipping services as required by Easy.my and any other e-retailers.”

Chan further shares that EasyParcel was inspired by the concept of‘ HotelBooking.com’ which serve as a hotel search point for the best hotel deals and packages.

EasyParcel is no different as any online retailer can come here to explore all the shipping / delivery options available to them, compare pricing and terms and conditions, as well as also be able to directly track the delivery stages of their e-commerce goods’ delivery status.

“The last mile of delivery is where customer loyalty is developed for the company, which is in case is the e-retailer. Therefore EasyParcel helps to build up customer loyalty in e-commerce – something that has long been a challenge faced by Malaysian SMEs in building their e-commerce business,” says Chan.

During the 4th annual Exabytes E-commerce Conference (EEC), Chan announces the nationwide availability of EasyParcel after its beta version (in June 2014) received encouraging response from 5,000 e-retailers and users in Malaysia.

“Currently EasyParcel only offers domestic shipping services but we are actively looking to partner with more logistic providers to extend the platform with international shipping options with the inclusion of players such as UPS, TnT and FedEx,” he ends.
